FAST Canon 50/1.2 LTM (Leica screw mount) lens, black and chrome. Serial #55,0xx. Excellent condition. No marks on the front or rear elements. A little dust inside, nothing major. Focuses perfectly on my M8 wide-open.

There is a tiny bit of wear on some of the knurlings of the focus ring, much less than usual with a lens this age. The diaphragm is smooth and snappy, the detents click positively, and there is no oil on the blades. The focusing ring is smooth and well-damped, but is a little stiffer than I'd like. The lens would probably benefit from a CLA, but it is perfectly shootable as is. Includes front and rear cap, and a generic 55mm hood.

I'm selling because when I need a lens this fast on my M8, I'm usually shooting a 35 rather than a 50. Price: $599.00,including PayPal and U.S shipping. Shipping to Canada at cost.

Canon Serenar 50/1.8 LTM (Leica screw mount) lens, chrome. Serial #58,3xx. A little wear on the chrome finish of the control rings. Mechanics perfect. No oil on diaphragm blades as best I can see. This lens has a look similar to the Leitz Summicrons of that era. I have a DR 'Cron, so I no longer need this lens. Focuses perfectly on my film bodies and my M8.

Included is an original Canon lens hood/filter holder (with case) which screws into the 40mm thread on the lens, and takes Series VI filters. Three old filters are included: yellow, orange and "daylight for type A film." You can also use 39mm filters with this hood, they do not center perfectly but stay flat and secure. That's how I used it on my M8 with an IR filter. Generic front cap, no rear cap, no LTM-M adapter.

There is haze inside the rear element (old Canons are prone to this). You will want to have this cleaned. I checked with DAG, who gave the lens a complete CLA in 2005. He told me that it would cost $50. Because of this, I have priced the lens at $150.00 including PayPal and U.S. shipping. Shipping to Canada at cost.
