I am selling a Zeiss ZF 35mm f/2 Distagon. It is a manual focus lens which is compatible with Nikon SLRs.
It was purchased new in October from Matsuiyastore (Japan), and I am the second owner. I purchased in FM Buy & Sell. It turns out that I am selling for the same reason as the original owner, which is that I find myself moving more and more towards using my rangefinder system instead of the SLR.
The lens comes with box, hood, papers, and both original caps. It is all in perfect condition, like new other than my fingerprints and some external dust. I do not have the original purchase invoice, but the original customs papers and Japanese warranty card are there along with the certificate of inspection.
Firm asking price is $640 plus PayPal and shipping, which comes to $675 total in the US or $685 to Canada.
A couple examples with the D700, the first at f/2 and the second at f/4:

I am also selling a Nikon 135/2 AIS (manual focus lens) with caps. This lens shows considerable wear and some peeling of the felt inside the built in hood, but is optically excellent.
I bought it last year for $350 on Ebay. I sold it on Ebay more recently for $300, but the buyer returned it because of sticky aperture blades. This is something I never noticed, because I usually shot at lower f numbers (f/2-4) or at slowish shutter speeds with higher f-numbers. If you shoot at high shutter speed and small aperture (high f-number), it may overexpose with this lens.
Unfortunately, the fellow who bought and returned the lens managed to put a few superficial scratches on the rear element in the process. These are very subtle, hard to see, and I cannot get them to show up in any photos of the lens. They don't affect pictures taken with the lens. The glass is otherwise clean and clear.
To see the photos of this lens refer to my previous Ebay auction here -> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330295837670
Because of the slight stickyness of the aperture blades, I am going to lower the asking price of this lens to $215 plus PayPal and shipping, which comes to $235 total in the US or $245 to Canada.. If you're buying this lens for its very high performance at or near wide open, this is an absolute steal of a price. Here are two photos I took with this lens at f2 on a Nikon D700:

No trades please. Also, please do not make any offer unless you have PayPal payment ready to go.
The post office is closed Monday for MLK day. I will ship Tuesday morning by insured USPS Priority Mail. I pack sold lenses very carefully. I have 100% positive feedback on Ebay and at FM as 'asabet'.
