Extremely rare is not something I say often, this is one of the last Summicron Rigids ever made by Leica Wetzlar Germany, it is well beyond the official documented serial number range, which stops at anno 1968 I believe. I am not positive where this came from, I assume it was a custom order for specific customers. Any more information about this serial would be much welcomed.
But one of the last few Summicron Rigids ever made, I believe it's one of the last FEW HUNDRED ever made, someone can please correct me on this, it is very rare to see one of these let alone for sale.
Both lens surfaces are perfect, no defects, pitting, polishing marks etc of any kind. No coating damage or any kind.
Aperture & focusing action, flawless and smooth.
Price: $1200 or reasonable offer for this essentially once in a lifetime chance to buy a Summicron from 1971.
