I have a very nice Leica APO Extender R 2x for sale. The glass is perfect, the cosmetic condition nearly so as well. The rear cap has a few marks but the front is perfect. What's in the pics is what's included (plus caps), that is the side panel from the original box with the original price in Deutsch Marks! (about $1000). Owners manual on the left. These are usable on a far greater variety of lenses than the 1.4x APO. The results with my 280 have been... stunning!

I'm not familiar with the various iterations of cams, can only say the manufacture date was during 1993 based on the serial #. This would be the most modern version mechanically speaking. Leica will add rom contacts if you're willing to wait long enough and pay the price:thumbup:

So yes, the newer stuff won't be usable on older Leica SLR bodies i.e. SL2's etc.
