I bought this lens as back-up for a recent trip. The 1Ds3 had just come back from Canon for an ERR99 fix, so I picked up a couple other lenses for the M8 just in case the Canon had an ERR99 relapse. The 1Ds3 ended up doing fine, so I'm thinning out some M gear.
The 28mm Elmarit ASPH looks like new and is very sharp. Glass is perfect. Lens barrel looks like new as well. The focus ring is exceptionally smooth and the overall feel on the M8 is very balanced and lightweight. The lens includes the hood, lens hood cap, the lens caps (front and rear), instructions, inspection document and some other little pamphlets. The lens is 6-bit coded and a very high serial number 407xxxx. Focus is dead on with my M8. The original owner purchased it new from Arlington Camera; I'm the second owner.
