Actually the multi touch "magic" trackpad is the item I've been lusting after. I sent Apple a feedback email more than a year ago that they needed this device. Once you use it on laptop you surely miss it on the desktop. Order placed!

lol ... that's really funny, because all the fancy touch stuff is usually what I disable first on the Magic Mouse or trackpad. A simple one-button mouse works best for me, most of the time. ];-)

I am with Terry on this one. Since having it on my newish MacBook Pro, I just love it, and struggle trying to make the older MBP and PowerBook do things again. Only part I am not fond of is the "tap to click" setting, so I went back to the "press to click" setting and love it. So easy to resize things, swipe pages, scroll through images, etc. This is great little device, IMHO.

The other interesting thing Apple released today are their new NiMH batteries and charger. Fairly simple tech now done with ease, longevity and energy savings. Cool.

Thanks LJ - didn't see that about the batteries.
. . . I agree with you and Terry about the touchpad - hard to do without once you're used to it.

No prices or configurations posted yet, but that could be a real sweet spot machine for those not needing 8+ cores worth of work and cost ;-)
