And don’t forget to say hi!
I've only used a Drobo S at a client's place for a little bit and I didn't see a heck of a lot faster operation with his machine vs the Drobo he had prior.I have almost out grown my drobo with firewire 800 I have 4 1.5 tb hd and am running out of room. Is the s with esata a lot faster? I am using this as a time machine back up. Thanks David PS I know digilloyd hates drobo.
I didn't mean to imply that you didn't need storage space*for backup. I just don't know why you're using a Drobo as a Time Machine backup.I have 2 1 tb drives in my mac pro that are 3/4 full and and 2 more 750 GB that are also 3/4 full. So even with that and the higher megapixel cameras I am now shooting 1d mk1v for money and m9s for myself. So storage is needed.
