Gitzo G1278M plate compatability

Does Gitzo use Arca style QR plates? I just picked a G1278M ballhead at a great price and wanted to get the right Camdapter plate for my hand strap. I am currently sporting the Manfrotto plate and Camdapter only offers Manfrotto and Arca style plates.

No.

However, Gitzo does make a kind of funky sleeve-type adapter to adapt their clamps to hold Arca plates. My preferred option is to mount an Arca-style clamp on my GItzo head as opposed to the other way around.

I think I will go you're preferred route, Jack. I am ordering an RRS B2 Pro clamp + the MBD10L bracket.
