My Nikon 9000ED passed away this morning...looking for reanimator.

That's it. Yesterday I wanted to scan some beautiful 6X6 positive. I have launched Vuescan, press the power button of my Nikon coolscan, ...and then nothing.
I have checked the wires and the fuse, ...nothing, no buzz, no sound.

It seems tha the power supply has died.

Is there a way to fix this ?

best regards, Stephane.

I have been told by a local (NZ) distributor that parts for these (including the 8000) are no longer made. Having said that, I imagine if it's just the power supply that an electrical repair show may be able to fix it?

The 9000 hasn't been discontinued for all that long yet. Nikon USA still repairs them, and I'd expect Nikon Japan does too. I imagine shipping from Reunion will be expensive, but at least it should be possible to get repairs done.
