Westminster mat board -- where?

Where have folks been buying Westminster unbuffered archival mat board in sheets for self-matting inkjet prints?

As a satisfied Light Impressions user in past years, I've been left hanging more recently when they take my order, charge my credit card, but don't tell me they can't fill it for several months. Their order confirmation email is really unethical in implying the order will be shipped in two business days but not telling the customer, when they already know, that it is out of stock and they really have no idea when they can obtain it or whether there is an alternate product they could suggest. I ordered and paid for frames 8 months ago which I'm still waiting for, and recently I placed a large order of Westminster unbuffered bright white rag board and foam core but learned by accident today that they have no prospect of shipping it by an identifiable date.

Would appreciate any leads on a dependable alternate source.

Hi Lynn

I notice that Adorama Camera carries some Westminster mat products. The practice of billing but not shipping is questionable at best and they would only do that to me once.

Boy, I hear you on that. Light Impressions has ripped me off, and left me hanging on a number of occasions now to full fill my wedding client needs. I tell the clients they will get an archival box and other stuff like that and LI doesn't fill the order for months and months ... or never does ... but immediately charges my card. Grrrrr.

I had the same experience from Light Impressions and will not be ordering from them again if I can find the products elsewhere. I am still trying to get my money back after 4 months.

Agreed! I ordered some fairly expensive archival print boxes from them, they notified me of a back-order situation but took my money ...
never got the stuff and was assured it was coming for so long it was too late to do anything about it ... no satisfaction from any contact what-so-ever.

They once were a highly reputable company with great products and service ... I don't know what happened to them. Too bad.

LOOK AT THIS E-MAIL I JUST GOT TODAY. Look at the order date ... Oh goody, I only have 4 to 6 weeks to wait ... again ... for the 10th time.

Are you kidding me ... ?

Doing Business With Light Impressions: I too have been the victim of similar conduct on two unreceived orders beginning with May of 2010. Please spread the word where appropriate. It appears there are serious issues of fraud and potential violations of both Federal and State law.
