Helicon Focus / Remote

Has anyone tried the Helicon Remote utility for auto stepping AF? My assumption is that it's of most use for macros in a controlled environment where being tethered is practical.

It might even be worth putting a NetBook together under Windows for.

http://www.heliconsoft.com/heliconremote.html - seems like the Helicon folks are using the Canon/Nikon remote control libraries to control the AF function to step the focus front/back through a scene and generate the image set for Helicon Focus. Pretty useful for macro at least as you don't introduce the opportunity to disturb the camera by adjusting by hand.

Just wondering if anyone else had tried it yet before I set up a Windows machine to try it myself. I loathe windows so it's something I'll do under duress only :ROTFL:.
