CS3 crop stuck?

i must have entered a mystery key command, but now when i try to crop, i can set the frame normally, but when i execute the crop via image/crop, the entire image disappears, leaving only a very tiny black square in the center of a reduced all grey frame..
doesn't matter what image or whether CS# has been closed or opened.

what do i do?:scry:

Odd. The only thing that comes to mind is that you have somehow set the crop dimensions in the top boxes. Like 1 x 1 pixel. If you haven't already done it, with the crop tool selected, try hitting "clear" in the tool bar just below the main toolbar. The boxes in that row, Width, Height, and Resolution, should all be empty.
