Light Room import question

After importing images into Lightroom I end up with the DNG and the JPEG viewable .... Is there away to hide the jpeg file so I only see the DNG ... or the other way around ? Before I updated I only would see the DNG file .... so some preference got changed only I cannot figure it which one

In the preference settings, under import, there's an option to treat JPEGs as separate photos.

See if that's checked.

I will uncheck the box and see what happens .......

Ok that worked for new imports .....
