Ideal camera bag for the A7RII kit

I got the Billingham Hadley Pro, Hadley Small and Digital Hadley. The one I use most by far is the Digital Hadley. It is perfect for the A7x with two lenses (from small Leica rangefinder lenses to more substantial Leica R lenses), one being mounted on the body.

Issue with UV filter for black chrome Summilux M 50 ASPH

Hello all, I received my black chrome Summilux M 50 ASPH yesterday and it is indeed a beautiful lens and a pleasure to handle. However, it appears that the hood won't fit over my Heliopan E43 UV filter. The inner diameter of the hood is smaller than the outer diameter of the filter. As to my...

Would an electronic rangefinder-lens coupling be relevant?

Having had an M9, but living in a country with no access to Leica services, I got more and more uncomfortable with the rangefinder calibration issue as the number of my lenses grew. I finally sold the M9 and have been using mirrorless cameras since. With growing sensor resolution, the...

    Fun With Sony Cameras

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 and A7r series As always, lots of very pleasing and impressive contributions in this thread. I for once managed to take some pictures of the kids in the early morning light: Sony A7 with Canon 85/1.2 FD L

    Series 5.5 ND Filter

Maybe Richard Frances from Lapetiteboutiquephoto.com - Spécialiste de l'optique photographique (email: [email protected]) can help. He is a Heliopan reseller and I believe he may be able to have them produce your filter. Heliopan is, to my knowledge, the last filter manufacturer...

    Fun with NEX-7

Thank you Michiel. I must also say that your pictures from the Lisbon train station are remarkable. I am sure that the place is impressive, but your compositions certainly add a lot to it.

    Fun with NEX-7

Simon, The picture is cropped to about 75% of original size. Distance from subject may have been around 1,7m. The DOF seen on this image is consistent with what I got in similar other cases with the same lens. I was also surprised at first, expecting shallower DOF, but at the end I am thankful...

Lens experience with Sony Nex-5 and Nex-7

Here is picture of a white wall taken with Nex 7 and Summilux 1.4/21 wide open (shot as raw, only converted to jpeg in LR4): There is a hint of color cast in the corners, but it is very low for a 21 mm.

Lens experience with Sony Nex-5 and Nex-7

For those interested, I quickly tested the Nex 7 with the Summilux 1.4/21, and it seems that there is no clearly visible magenta color cast. Vignetting is quite strong, as expected with this lens, but if there is a color cast, it is very subtle and would not require any correction, as opposed to...
