Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Grocery Shopping......:ROTFL:
auto WB/160iso /50 lux
Thought auto WB did Quite well considering all the harsh & ugly lighting
The Flourescent ^ Tungsten settings were obviously too blue

IT Captured the Commercial Value of these Produts ...:ROTFL:

Perhaps I should go into 'POP' photography....

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Just back from France

This was our lunch today with our son's girlfriend's parents.
foie gras
coquille st jacques on the barbeque
perch
it was fabulous and a real treat

The view is over the Isère valley from Villeray to Les Arcs.
The little church is just below the garden where we were eating.

A Lunch with a View in fact!

:) nasty harsh lighting is the only time I use AWB - I think it does a good job then.

The food looks good, the company wonderful, and that third image... well, splendid does seem like the word.

limerick: Dream of the Golden Age

An unexpected moving moment at the local Zoo today.
Dream of the Golden Age

There was once a zoo in Utopia
with a lioness called Harmonia.
Shaking hands with her preys,
she recalled golden days
when we lived on the earth's cornucopia.

Very impressive work. I'm trying to get the panos down, but still not there yet.

Jono-great scenary and nice crisp shots. Thanks for the compliment!

Maarten-nice composition!
---------------------------------
While browsing the aisles at Target for a picture frame, I caught sight of what seem to be Obama collector's cards. Next to Spiderman, and several athletes from different sports, was Barak Obama, an American superhero in the making. As I was focusing I drew the attention of a boy who had veered away from his mom to shop for cards. His gaze locked on the Obama cards and I panned the camera and shot.

He looked troubled. Perhaps he was daunted by all the options. It must be difficult to be a child in 2009 with so many heroes to choose from.

Jono,

I take it you had a nice holiday. That menu sounds fit for the surroundings!

Maarten,

Nice panoramic view. It has been too long since I was last in Amsterdam!

Hans,

Timing!
