Three from a walk along the Broadwalk at Coney Island today. Definitely need to go back here several times. M8 + 50/1.5 Summarit.

Hi Charles,
I like these for different reasons. The first B&W the tones feel so smooth. The second one looks like it was done with that profile you have.

Terry - the second one is an IR shot.

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Hi All,

I love the images everyone posts here, so I thought I'd throw in a couple from a recent trip to Miami. The first is from Fairchild Botanical Gardens with a CV 12. The second is a hotel in South Beach with a Leica 21/2.8 [handheld at wide open]. The third is an open room I passed while walking on Ocean Ave near the former Versace Mansion [with the same Leica 21]. The third image is actually a blend of two exposures to get the entire range, but the only actual lighting inside the room is from the headlights and taillights of the cars passing by and parked outside. Miami is always a blast!

:ROTFL::ROTFL::ROTFL:

Jaap, This is the lens that I (stupid me:angry:) sold. I thought I wanted an ASPH. I had to beg to get the pre-ASPH back. I won't make that mistake again.
Charles (cmb) gets the same look from his Summarit 50 f/1.5. I think you have that lens, don't you?

Tim, thank you.

So, what's so bad about the ASPH?

Absolutely nothing is wrong with the ASPH. It is surely sharper. I just like the dreamy look of the pre.

The Asph 50 is a great lens, supremely sharp, but for many of us shows a slightly harsher bokeh than the pre...

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

yes, I agree Cindy's shot (oops, sorry, Capture! :angel: )really fits the scene

I really like the smoothness. Likely cant get that when you play around with so may lens groups for corrections.
