The funny part is the windmills (OK not your traditional ones) with the refinery in the background.

That irony was the reason I went for the shot in the first place

I hope the intent was to start a new M8 picture thread....I'll call this "Let the fun begin with a new M8"

Nice one Terry!
Now how many 50mm lenses do you have to go with your 2 M8's? I think the minimum requirement is three :D

I confess 50 to more than one 50 but at the moment it is only one and a half....the half is visiting the clinic in Allendale unless it went abroad to the spa in Solms.

Very colorful Victor! The Sartorial splendor courtesy of the 70's looks a lot like Purple Haze to me.

Should I start a new thread on MP B&W?
...or maybe a B&W thread on my new MP?
...or how about an MP thread on the new B&W?

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

I really like it a lot.
Those shots were from the first roll of TMY I shot with it after its arrival.
Developed in the Jobo tank I bought to replace my Nikor tanks that got shipped off to the recycle center less than a year ago.
Now if the new M8 shutter sounds like this I want two.
Just a quiet snick and no vibration that I can feel.
Now I am thinking about maybe backing my M8 with the MP and also that now I REALLY need a 50 lux for the extra stop and a half over the 50 Summarit.

Peace Rally 5th year anniversary of the war in Iraq. It's nothing like the anti-war riots that took place here in the 60s and 70s, but it's a start. M8, Noctilux.

Nice series. The last one really gives a sense of the event AND is a very good photo. The color is nice in all of them.
