Steve: ++1!. Did you just happen on these people, or was it a gang thing? Cheers.Wow!! You are rockin' that Lux, Steve. Awesome work.
Bebert: Nice capture. Did they notice you? (And Steve, it does remind me of the Beatles on Abbey Road)Hi ho, Hi ho
It's off to work we go
local cameraclub on the hunt for some street-shots got caught by a rangefinder.
Lloyd: Was the Photomatrix one from 5 separate images or did you generate from one with different exposures? Or, is that what the single image HDR was? Also what was the exposure range? That program is fun; but, i bet that i delete 90% of my efforts. I'll keep trying for the 10%. Here's an interesting program called LR/Enfuse - http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lrenfuse.phpThank you Stuart and roanjoh. It's interesting to see the possibilities. I find that I really don't like most HDR images, but it's nice to discover that I can draw out some detail without killing an image.
Here's one final version. For this opened both my Lightroom version, and the HDR version in Photoshop as Layers, with the former on top. Then using a Layer Mask, I allowed some of the detailed areas (e.g., the tree on the lower right) to show through, albeit at a reduced opacity. Overall, I like the result (not as a great image, but as a successful experiment).
Lloyd: +1. They grow up too fast.Lloyd, time flies when your having fun! Endearing photos. You All Have Movie Star Looks! Happy Birthday to the Big Guy for me!
cmb: Nice photo with the silhouette and the candles.M8, 35mm pre wide open through the window at dusk.
Roan: Striking images. The first looks like the apocalypse. why are those people stopped on the bridge?A few to share: all taken with the M8.2 and Zeiss 21 f2.8 Biogon (Truly a sharp sharp lens).
