Thanks Matt and Steve. I'm enjoying the spontaneity and versatility of the Leica and the wonderful "Leica glass". I just walk around with the camera in hand and shoot if something attracts my eye...no tripod. Eleanor

Thrice: These are pretty cool. I'll have to look at the links to see what a "channel switch" is? Cheers, Matt. Here are some shots from today's infrared adventure. I had to cut it short because my neck is killing me (from sleeping weird, not my lovely light M9). All 35mm ZM C-Biogon at f/2.8 or f/8.0. Cornerfix is a must here.
Interesting flare in the bottom right corner of this shot, this one is at f/2.8, it's much worse on the f/8.0 version of the same shot.
It might be worth mentioning, the M9 has noticeably more highlight recovery headroom in IR than it does in the visible spectrum.
Peter, very nice moment. You did well to manage the dr.
First post with my new Grey M9 ...M9 50lux ISO800 (for some grain) and a coffee the silent mode is good for close up snaps - straight out of the camera into C1 no processing nothing just a tiff ..the M9 colour is very 'real' skin tones spot on.

Steve: Thanks. It's got it's uses. I need to shoot more with it to get it's measure with the M9. It does seem humongous!Matt, you've got me thinking about the 135! Nice subject, light & vignetting!
Ashwin: Thanks. The X1 thread is a click away. We can, and have, managed that!135 tele-elmar is very nice as well. Sorry it's been more than a few days since I posted last. Just magnificent work accross the board. I have been busy testing out the X1, which is lovely. Great stuff over the last few days from Steve (I just love your approach), Matt D. (lovely stuff, it's funny seeing it here and then out my window at home), Endre (love the minimalist work, Thrice (cool IR stuff), Dierk (lovely Macros as usual), Eleanor (love the new images), PeterA (great environmental portrait/group work), and many more I certainly missed....
I am inspired to go out and shoot tonight with the M...but that X1, so nice...really want to put it to test and see what it can do...too bad I can't post over here to get your feedback...
Cheers, Matt

Jeff: Great flower shots. I like this one. It seems to have the right combination of close detail, field, mountains and clouds. Then #'s 1, 2, 3. I'm really sorry that i sold my WATE some time ago.A few more images from my wildflower trip last weekend. Busy week, so I haven't had time to post.

Keith: Beautiful night shot.
