The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

It was raining cats, dogs, pigs, frogs and giraffes today so while my kids were at the movies (watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua for the second time this week with their mother - my wife is a brave woman) I went to the Barnes & Noble across the street and did a little street photography. No issues with my "archaic" M8 classic being too loud, BTW.

Today I took the family to a corn maze in the country. The corn in the maze was well past its prime but looked good enough to photograph in the nice light. I used the 90mm APO Summicon Elcan I have.

Another one from today. This is from the valley look off. In a few more weeks, it will be more dramatic with the fields and trees a patchwork of fall colours.

that thing looks vicious. do you know that some scholars attribute bizarre religious practices (sacrifices, cannibalism) to predominance of corn in their diet?

I kept think of the Stephen King book/movie "Children of the Corn." I don't think I would the the maze at night!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you call a corn maze a "maize maze"?

Yes, I thought of that but wasn't sure anybody here would get it :)

Fantastic fall shots, both of you! Tim Wright, that middle image of yours is priceless. Fantastic shot.

And thanks to both of you!

Looks like you had a good week in Baxter, Tim. Hope you had fun, it's a beautiful place.

Re: More and more fun with M8 images

Hey folks!

These images were taken on the set of "Imus in the Morning" when they broadcast from DC yesterday. Setting aside how you may feel about the old nut, I was amazed at the performance of the M8. I was using a 90mm Cron f2 from forever away on Auto ISO and WB in this studio lighting situation. These all turned out at ISO 1250. Am I just easy to impress or did the camera really nail it?

Best,

Reynolds
