IR cut filters for Leica M8

Zeiss have apparently come to the party late after the M8 has been discontinued.

This thread at LUF talks of a new design filter (pricey).

A guy from Zeiss had mentioned this plan about 1 year ago.
I think its something which could make sense for M8 users who want to use Zeiss wides and not to mess with custom coding.
I wonder if the correction regarding the cyan corners would be as good as the software correction.

Since there are now about 50,000 UV/IR Leica and B+W filters going cheap, I rather think they have missed the boat. There are also quite a few people now milling mounts for permanent (as opposed to Sharpie) marking.
