Between the Eves, that sometimes stressful period between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve:

For some, it's an opportunity to take to the streets in new footwear...

...or practice with new toys...

For others, it's an opportunity to take things back to the shop that either don't work, or were never really wanted in the first place...

Some prefer to get back to work...

...whilst others queue for a bargain. I mean, what could be better than a grand saucepan sale...

And despite the indulgences of Xmas, some people are never satisfied...

For my own part, I try to unwind as much as possible...

...before escaping the crowds and heading back to the car...

Have a good New Year everyone.

Mike

Carsten: Beautiful set of photos. This one's really exceptional. The tonality reinforces the scene and weather.:thumbs:

Also, great looking website. Bookmarked for more leisurely perusal. I checked out that MS lens at Japan Exposures. Very cool.

Cheers, Matt.

Ok, so clearly, I am WAY(hopelessly, in fact) behind commenting here. Let me just say this:

ceh: You have a marvelous eye, and I always enjoy your posts.
Endre: So nice to see you posting again. Good work... welcome back! Loved the shots with the bits of pink in particular.
Mike Woods: Amazing work; as always. Your most recent set in particular.
Ashwin: So good! (Loved that "Fidel Castro" catch, btw)
Steve Gomes: Great stuff... almost makes me miss my days in New York! Even (and maybe especially) the snowy shots.
Chuck: Beautiful holiday "card"
Mohammed: The star trails shot... WOW!!
Joe: Good stuff
Charles: Nice shots, and I envy your weather... mist, rain and all.
Jan: Wonderful Southeast Asia shots. Love the one of the two smiling women, and the "snacks" shots in particular.
GMB:Beautiful autumn shots.
retow: Frost goodness! Great shots!
David: No matter the lens, you are the master of wide!
Steve: The little interviewee = Priceless!
Peter: The musician friends shots were wonderful. The one of the cellist and the clarinet player is really something special.
Jono: Excellent series with the 75 and the 35 lux. Handsome family, and enviable camera hardware!
SYGTAFOTO: The shot of your son at the keyboard is wonderful. Loved the processing as well.
Carsten: Truly exceptional images! Keep them coming!

Hope I didn't miss anyone. If I did, it was unintentional, and I really did enjoy your posts too!

Not much time to shoot lately, but did get this at a family gathering last night. My grand-neice, intently writing a thank you letter. So intent that she didn't even notice I was taking her picture.

One more. My niece, completely exhausted from chasing around her very rambunctious 4-year-old, sat down for a second, and fell fast asleep.
