Sometimes, in street shots, you just never know what's hidden in the details :D

PS M9, Firenze, Piazza della Republicca
oh, this is what I'm talkin' 'bout:eek:
Must be an american; only they wear baseball caps backwards, and plaid shorts :ROTFL:
one more from our latest Italy trek (Cinque Terre)
M9 5 or 6 stiched, hand held. Pano from PTGUI (La Spezia train station)
Victor: Excellent street shot (although a D700 with a big telephoto would have worked best for this one! :D). The pano's great.

Cheers, Matt.

Thanks Matt...... f3.8 does not bothers me . So far I have been using it mostly for day time shooting . One of my favorite lens is the 21 SA and that is not a fast lens either..... I wanted something wide to use on the M8 so I went with this lens and love it .... these high contrast high iso images are not doing the lens justice.. DavidE's images have inspired me to try some architecture shots with this lens ...
shiro: It's definitely capable of some great shots. Probably underrated, too. It's one of the few Leica lenses in stock at our local dealer. Looking forward to more of your posts with it.

Matt, all three are lovely shots.
Nice pop in the first photo, clean and crisp! I am a sucker for bokeh and the third shot has a nice soft bokeh even with the f4.8 aperture setting, nicely done.
Very nice, Matt. I like the look of the M9 b/w images shot at higher ISOs. This second shot is really nice.
Dan/Lloyd: Thank you, both! That's my daughter the rocket scientist! Well not quite...just, a Biophysicist. :D

Cheers, Matt.

Here is a shot I liked sort of but wasnt happy with the way it looked in colour , but my 7 yr old convinced me to convert it to B+W and i think it looks a LOT better now

Nice Shot can almost smell the wood!

. . . . . hopefully the next shot will be the cord of wood cut and stacked out in the sun drying for next winter . . . . .

++1!

Beautiful set of gams, love the look of the man face that is heading towards her. Matt may be right a Nikon with a large telephoto may have been the appropriate camera to capture this wildlife in it's natural habitat!

Thanks for the kind words...

You may be right about the Nikon (and I do like the Nikkor glass!, an FG was my first 35mm camera before the Leica R4). However, I was shopping with my wife, and a telephoto would have been just a BIT obvious
