I went over to a pals house to take some shots of his very kool 1952 Chrysler New Yorker , so after a few shots in the sunset he took me for a spin around town in it, it was awesome! here is one of us going down the street, I processed it to look like a vintage photo on purpose, hope you like it! more to follow

    Thank you Lloyd!
And Charles, you've captured several levels here with this beautiful model. The touch of light on her hair just adds in to what is already a great moment.

Here is one of the two Memorial Pools where WTC Towers 1 and 2 stood. The others are from The High Line and along Eighth Avenue.

The Eiger north face did not look too scary today. And a few more from above 2600 meters.

Rob, cool car, and cool photo :P Would be awesome to drive something like that!

retow, very nice set... really pretty Wish I could climb a mountain someday...

I guess I'll ask for advice here... so I messaged the guy who I thought was scamming me once a day, hoping for a reply. I told him in today's message that I'm making a report to paypal if he doesn't provide proof of shipment tonight, and he instantly replied, telling me it's been shipped out on Monday July 31, like he said it would be, and that I should "learn some patience and wait for it to come" because "If [I'm] going to be shooting film, I should learn to be patient." I told the seller I'm looking forward to seeing proof of payment. He still hasn't provided proof of shipment yet. I brought this up with a mod at the forum, and all I got in reply was "he might find your insecurities a pain to deal with" and "make a report with paypal if it doesn't come." What should I do now? Also, I'm not asking too much for expecting an update on the deal 96 hours after confirmed payment, am I?

    ANYWAY.

Last of my Seattle set. We walked around Pike Place Market on Sunday A very cool place... I love it! Very high energy, cool little shops, very nice food. An all around nice place to be I would love to go back again someday!

Two from the Hotel Hillary and her Sister

    And from Pike Place

A Philipina selling toys We bought two

Emery Carl, a busker who can play the guitar behind his head, hula-hoop, and play the harmonica at the same time. Very cool

Patrick, since you should be protected by paypal, there's no need to worry. If it's shipped on Monday, give it a week, and if not received, then just file it with paypal (I think they may even have some minimum wait time before filing). What you're dealing with is a seller with poor communication, and you should give him the proper feedback, but not until everything is settled. If you know that you're an anxious buyer, then next time you should ask for tracking number and ship date before the purchase, even if you have to pay a little bit more, for the ease of mind. Personally, I would rather let a deal slip by if the seller doesn't have good feedback/ratings.

Very nice set of pictures, BTW Somehow I feel the processing is a bit less "aggressive" then your normal self, and I find them very pleasing. The puppy, of course, is irresistible!

Nice pics Patrick - I like the puppy pic as well. I would suggest you still phone Paypal just to discuss the situation and find out your next course of action if needed. That way you will be ready when and if the time comes. As a seller, I will always provide a tracking number right away to the buyer - even if they don't ask for one. It's just good practice. Anyway - hope it all works out in the end for you....

I've been super busy for a few days, but I do like to comment on Peoples photo's so please bear with me.

Thank you for all the nice comments on my photo's.

    P134

Matt Sorry for your loss, its never easy losing a family pet. Nice catpture

Those NIK add ons seem to really pull down the noise.

Robert Nice shots from PEI, looks like you are having a nice time!

The beach shots are good too, looks like a mini baby boom at work

denntsytangco Stunning shot of Gaudi's Cathedral. Good job on minimizing the construction. Which lens did you use?

Godfrey Nice stuff, and so true.

rayyan, Nie detail on the shot of the chest. The sepia building shot is nicely PP'd - very vintage.

The seagull shot - super capture! Where you in a balloon?

Hillary Happy Belated Birthday, I hope that Patrick spoiled you on your special day!

    Mohammad Nice beach shots!

downstairs Super lighting on the jug photo, just wondering how you trigger your lights?

Bruno As on the other forum, nice photo's and I am still liking number 3 of the people standing at the railing.

Brian, thats pretty good for hand held![/B]

David, interesting that there is still some swirl on the dandelion shot.

Charles, As on the other forum, super nice set!

Patrick, looks like a fun party!

    P135

Ashwin, Paris, the city of light, a magical place for photographers, and you captured it!

rayyan Love the shot of the old man in B&W!

Steve, Nice shots, like the 35 cron shot!

    dennysytangco, Nice set from London!

David, Congratulations on the new lens! In your second set, #2 is very nice, I would even push the highlights further...

Ace Nice shot of the little girl!

Mohammad, Again with the super processing, your friends father looks like he enjoys life!

Patrick Looks like you had a super time in Seattle! Nice shot of Puget sound! Looks like you had a fun night out!

Gary, as posted on the other forum, I like the last one! (Eagle on buoy). And same again in the second set.

Michael I really like #1 of the spring hill sign. Nice control of the light in the fog!

rayyan Interesting take on the doorway, almost looks like a cross processed look.

David(dwf) Nice set, thanks for sharing!

proenca Interesting images, the single colour and low colour images a a nice change!

Andrew, I really like this set you've posted. Do check the designation of 28mm Summilux on photo 5. You might start a Leica rumor; or is there such a lens?!

Woody, the scans and Milan look great!

Patrick, Many fish pics come from Pike Mkt. - yours in B&W with tight framing and high contrast really work!

Lloyd- Thanks again, enjoy your time there If you want to visit the memorial, it is necessary to get a pass in advance. You can do it easily on-line but then you get to go through airport-style security before they let you in to the park. I look forward to seeing what you see!

At the risk of beating a dead horse, here are revised takes on the pool. The site was challenging because the light was so intense at about 3PM...no surprise.

Here are some shots from a recent day trip to Joshua Tree. M9 + 50 summicron + 4 stop ND

I only wish we drove this out there

and of course some actual Joshua Trees

The images really don't convey the sheer size of these rock formations, but they are massive! Here's my buddy hiking to the top of one.

Andrew, cool shots from china :P Very China, very happy people

Woody, cool film shots Nice to see others using film here!

Matt, cool photos I love the tree one... so much detail in all of them though!

With the Yashica T4... the dude finally gave me proof of shipment. He was just really lazy and had poor communication. David, I completely agree with you, and I did only go through with the deal because he promised to update me and have it shipped on a certain day. He shipped it, but he never updated me... sucks, but at least it's out and I'm good for now

Anyway... two photos from today! Took my new lens, an Elmar-M 50/2.8, out for a spin.

Also... I bought a $20 guitar at a thrift store today. The body was broken, but the owner epoxy'd it back together. Sounds great, feels great. Googled it when I got home, worth $350 brand new, going for $400 on local classifieds... cool deal

Instead of constantly compare the 28mm Elmarit to the 25 Biogon, I think I'm just going to shoot with both for a while and decide later.

The images really don't convey the sheer size of these rock formations, but they are massive! Here's my buddy hiking to the top of one.

Excellent set, Matt. I especially like this last one. Including you buddy in the shot really does give a sense of scale. Did you do any climbing while you were there?

Happy birthday! If you're considering selling the 25, I may be interested.

Hi all, Ive been quite prolific this week , a coworker is also a pilot and helps out the Yellow Wings Flight of Canada Vintage Wings of Canada / Les Ailes d its a charitable organisation that is a tribute to the Commonwealth Pilot Traing Program in WW2 , he does this in his spare time, and it just so happens that this weekend they are visiting my hometown , which was a training base in WW2 . so without further ado here is Chris the air traffic controller/vintage warplane pilot

    oh the 4 aircraft are:
    1: Fleet Finch
    2: North American Harvard
    3: Fairchild Cornell
    and my fave
    4: De Havilland Tiger Moth

I love this shot , another coworker was there and I showed them this and his wife called it " a Hero shot! looks like Chuck Yeager!"
