Steve - great shot of 'No Photos Please' Isn't that just begging for one?

Matt, Mohammed - definitely take a look at the lens. I am really shocked at how great it is considering you hear so little of it. I don't have the macro adapter but am now on the lookout. The .7MFD at 90mm without the adapter actually gets you very close. The detail at 100% is stunning. And the bokeh is just to die for. 10 blades vs the 8 on the Elmarit-M really makes a big difference

Matt - Love the Nocti shots. I see you are definitely getting great use out of it. The CA are very well controlled considering its a .95 lens

    Here are some more....
More great shots, Ryan. That's a lens I've flirted with getting for some time. I think you're pushing me toward the edge.

Both of these are great, Steve. Love the processing (and the title) on the first one. Well seen and captured on the second.

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

Ryan: I went back to the camera store and that 90mm macro lens was already gone. Also, thanks about the Nocti photos.
Ryan: I esp. like the tomatoes.
    Steve: Thank you, sir!
Steve: Great asymmetrical composition and pp in the first; nicely captured moment in the second.
    Robert: Thanks!
    Rayyan: Welcome back, my friend!
cmace127: Those are both very cool. I like the first with the fence almost totally blurred out.
    Robert: Great flame!
Lloyd: Thanks! Kind of a bear to process (my fault with the exposure)
Joe: Thanks! Yes, I had to get a bigger "toolbox". The museums are very photogenic, and Times Square is always fun; but, that last one's my favorite. Great framing and position of the people. Good eye, Joe. (I scrolled down and see that Lloyd agrees.)

    Cheers, Matt

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

Wow, so fast this thread moves....

First off, thanks to even more of you for your kind words on my exhibit. It's up through August 18th, so if any of you come through Seattle, I'd love to show you around....

    Now for some comments:
Robert: Great fire pit capture. Way to control the highlights of the blaze, my friend

Joe: Thank you, my friend...You are working some serious magic with that 50 lux asph on the subway and on the roadways. Love the spiderman cap!

Matt: The new lens is keepin' your work so fresh and pure.....thankfully, I have this guy, so don't have to be tempted by your marevlous pics. This most recent series of the girl and bikes is lovely...As are the usual magic around Pike's place. Dolls is another fav!

cmace127; Fantastic race car pans! Amazing caps!

Mohammad: Great recent posts. Your black and white beachside caps are true art, and your processing is beautiful, perfected! Great work, buddy!

RyanL Beautiful Macro-Elmar caps....I used mine through India, but not in the macro way that you are showing it off as.

Steve: Love the "No Photos Please" guy! He didn't seem too pissed....Further, your shadows capture...fascinating, subtle, and beautiful!

Baudolino: Fantastic race caps...AMAZING critical focus...I seriously don't know how you did it

David: Your mastry of the 24 lux continues to blow me away. I always know when a cap is yours. Your style is so distinct and so pure! Keep it up, my friend

Rayyan: Welcome back, my friend. Lloyd and I spoke very warmly of you when I visited with him in Salt Lake. I've missed you, and can't wait to see what magical images you have to share from your time away and what new captures you can create once you have dusted off the Leica kit...

Ashwin: The first is really impressive. Just sucks you right up there. Cool angle and color.

35mm ZM C-Biogon. This shot taken at comparable settings to my 135mm planar on 4x5, I guess we'll see which resultant image looks best when I dev the tranny.

I like the treatment here, Robert. (Beautiful scene). I have the entire NIK Suite, but tend to use ColorEfex Pro 3 and Silver Efex Pro 2 the most.

Nice work on the desaturated image as well.

I'm with Steve on this... slight preference for the color version. It's a close call, however.

Thanks Matt, Ash, Steve & Steve

Matt, nice capture of the girl and I'm enjoying your series with the 0.95. Keep sharing! If you ever feel that this new "tool" is too heavy, send me a PM and I'll gladly take it off your hands
Steve, nice set from Paris with the M8!
Ash, the first shot is really nice, love the composition! Just curious, where was this taken?

Robert: +1! I use the same two programs a lot. And, I've occasionally gone "velvia"!

Steve/Lloyd: Thanks for the comments. Mine too, although there was a lot of reddish fringing, esp. on the girl. I wonder if the ND filter has any negative impacts?

    Hi Matt,
It's the Flinders Street railway station in Melbourne CBD. The great light is due to a very bright LED-based sign over the road from the station. I timed the shot with the brightest of the alternating images on the sign. Melbourne has an extensive tram network. The 4x5 shot should feature a motion-blurred tram as well
    Cheers
