Lloyd and Matt, cross post comments thank you
Chris, love that shot with the rain!
Steve, very nice shots of your wife! Very fit BTW
    Esmallits, beautiful B&W shots
    Cenek, love that impromptu capture!
    Hired Arm, nice evening captures

Shot from the other afternoon with M-M 24 Lux, and LR4 I think this is where you need colour filters for foliage.

Congrats, Charles, on the Monochrom. I am still waiting for mine, but a generous soul from here at GetDPI, the wonderful Matt Driscoll, has lent me his for a few days of shooting in NYC!

Very excited to give it a go soon....

    Charles,
I was close to sell my 24mm Summilux since I had used more often my 21/2.8 lately but seeing all those beautiful images I think I need to give that lens another "chance". Great images!

Ashwin, Paratom, Stephen and David, thank you Much appreciated!

Ashwin, yes I am so looking forward to your shots with the M-M, thanks to Matt There is a definite learning curve is PP'ing to really get the magic from the dng files. It is fun though Have fun!!!

Paratom, thank you The 24 Lux is an amazing lens. I even find with the M9, the PP'ing needed is very different to the 28 Cron Asph. For the above shot with the 24 Lux, I tried sharpening in LR4 only, Amount and detail both to 70. Normally this would bring up artifacts with the M9 files, but with the M-M there was none at all.

Another previous shot re PP'd with similar settings in LR4, M-M and 24 Lux

Another couple (this, and the one above) of very nice images, Charles. I'm following your posts with interest, as prior to seeing them, I was thinking that the Achilles Heel of the MM might be landscapes. Interesting to consider carrying around filters. I actually have a couple of stacks of them (two different sizes) which I've kept around from days of yore. Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Here is one I just took in Dhankar, Spiti - North Indian Himalayas. 28 cron, but by accident it was manually coded as 21mm.

I was practically shooting this photo blind as I had RF75 with 2 stop grad filter on my lens, so most of the viewfinder was blocked. One of the main reasons I would really welcome live view in M10. In addition the sun was blinding me from the left and I had to use my other hand to block the sun from reaching the lens and leaving lens flares. Sometimes the M system can be really challenging to work with in some instances, but it sure shines on the streets.

It's been a while since I posted (due to other toys!) but I still check in most days and enjoy all the great work posted here. This past weekend I couldnt resist any longer, and had to take the M9-P for a walk as autumn overtakes summer:

And one for you monochrome buffs, but not with the M-M!

    Best wishes to you all.

Great shots, Mike. That second one in particular. I've enjoyed your postings on the OMD thread, you've got talent that shines regardless of the hardware.

This shot came out really nice I thought, my little gal standing under a covered pedestrian bridge in the sunlight , maybe there is something to this B+W thing

The crew from today. Left to right, our own Ashwin Rao, his SO, Jen, and our own Steve Gomes (sjg284).

Bryant Park, Mid-Town Manhattan. Ashwin and Jen are in town for a wedding, I'm here killing time while my wife is attending a conference, and Steve was kind enough to take the day off and be our guide/hang out with us... Uptown, Downtown, all around the town... we had a blast.

    M8, 28 Cron:

Ashwin kept things, er, logical? M8, 90 Elmarit.

Matt Driscoll was nice enough (beyond nice, actually) to let Ashwin bring his M-Monochrom to New York, and I got a chance to take a few shots. Here's one with an older, uncoated 50 Cron.

Thanks, guys! I'm still new to the M but I really do enjoy photography a whole lot more. Thanks for the encouragement!
