Hacked Nikkor 10.5cm F2.5, on the Leica M9. $40 Ebay lens with no rear element, replaced with a 100mm plano-convex lens, held in with a rear retaining ring from a Jupiter-3. Rear shim and main shim set, RF coupled across the entire focus range. This one took a while.

Yeah! I managed to get out and take some photos too, it started raining the minute I got home! And we had good clouds, even. Kinda rare for Seattle.

I especially like the first two, Matt.

Brian, stunning work mechanically. You are a magician. The rendering here is amazing, somewhat sonnar-like OOF...so cool!

Edward, Matt, Brian, Ashwin, Cenek. Nice work all. (And a few more on the preceding pages too... this thread really moves... and the work is uniformly terrific!)

Brian, I agree with Ashwin. You are a magician. And the resulting images are magical too.

I just love your image above of the bicycle leaning against the wall in the archway. The light and colour is sublime!

    AnimeFx, great emotive portrait.

    Cenek, love the light-and-shadow play

Matt, love the work from the Beacon Hill Vantage. I always mean to get up there but rarely go...I like the monochrom take...

Some autumn photos from Uppsala, Sweden. The sun went down quickly though... All with M8 and IR-filters. First one with 28 Elmarit ASPH, others with Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.5. All at wide open aperture.

Really nice, Magnus. I love the way that Nokton renders. I've had two of them, and often wonder why I sold them.

Mohammad: Yet another very impressive set. Terrific work, and wonderful processing.

Cenek: Great 'life as it happens' image. The variety of expressions, postures, etc are wonderful. That can't be recent, is it? Are you still that warm over there?

Nice shot, and I'm jealous. We're expecting a high of 40 (4C) today, and it's currently raining, with snow on the hills just a mile to the east of me. (Actually, it's colder than normal today, but no Indian Summer here.)

    Hi Andrew,

I unscrewed the flange using a swiss army knife (the small screw head fits!), and sent the mount to John Millich in NY on Friday, then got it back in about 10 days (I think). He's "jlm" in this forum, definitely worth the trouble

Ashwin, really nice photos from india! I wish I could go there someday... :P It's always nice going back into photos from the past. I wish my harddrive would stop crashing. I lost 3 years worth of photos last year

Magnus... beautiful fall colours :P I haven't been outside enough lately to enjoy them

Moh, great faire photos! keep making me wish I were at one... And your PP is great as always :P

Andrew, I really did try to shoot lots in the big apple... but it was harder than expected I didn't really know how to keep up with the pace of the city. much too fast for me!

Great photos guys It's always nice checking up on this thread during my work break... and sorry for not posting more often.
