Is it considered poor form to play with other people's images here? If so I'll remove the picture. No offense or disrespect towards the talented ceh or anyone else is intended.

I'm busy doing the same thing (bag reduction). Sony stuff has all gone (except the little RX100). the Olympus stuff is looking seriously endangered!

Good Luck with the new ME - which lenses do you have?

Right now I'm just using some of the old CV and Zeiss lenses that I used previously with the M8 and ZI. Still haven't decided on which glass to add, but probably at least the Zeiss 25 2.8 and a more compact 50 (Zeiss planar or leica cron). I also have a nice set (28, 45, 90) of black Contax G lenses that I'm hoping to get converted to M mount.

Superb capture! Only thing I am intrigued about is the magenta cast on the left. Was it like that in reality or it is only in the image?

    I agree - lovely image

Magenta on the left, green on the right . . . the weather is always like that in Devon - something to do with the amount of rain they get.

. . . . Or it could be that the lens wasn't coded correctly?

    All the best

Thanks for the comments. There's vast knowledge on this forum and it is correctly used in this instance. I forgot to change the setting from my previously used normal setting (50 lux) before taking this shot. I wish I'd spotted it before putting it up.

:P I borrowed a 35 ASPH Cron for a few weeks... sharp, but soft, perfect color rendition, great contrast... worth $3k? Not really...

Things are starting to get a little better... I'm finally employed for my upcoming Co-Op term, at a big architecture firm in Toronto (KPMB Architects)... hopefully Hillary can find a job in Toronto.

School work is lightening up... but I'm not sure if it's the calm before the storm... finals are approaching.

Anyway, here's some from the ASPH Cron and my M8

    Great Shots everyone!

This is the Temple of Confucius in Beijing. This was my first tryout with the F1 Noctilux. Overall I was very happy with the lens, and it is now in my "I'll never sell" category.

    Thank you so much!

You wouldn't know about this place as it has just opened last April. It's a night market called Asiatique, the Riverfront, on Charoenkrung road. You should check it out next time you visit, and have a beer there together

    Hi there.

Yes sir, I did get one. A few days back, along with a Fuji XE1.

With the ME, I am just sorting out the focus with various lenses. Instead of color I thought this would be neutral..

With lux 50 asph..Exif is intact.

With the Elmarit-M 90mm; the last thin version..

Know what? My M8s for BW will give any of these new boys a run for their money!!

    Kindest regards.

p.s we are short of trees and pets around here. My apologies.

A few shots taken today with the CV 28mm f/1.9 ASPH Ultron on the M-E. A low contrast lens, but I like the way it draws on the M9 sensor.

It's the trouble with sons . . especially if they're good at it . . . one of mine seems to have nabbed my M9p; it's nice to see the results though.

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

    Fantastic work, everyone.

    1. Rayyan, ME and XE-1? A wealth of camera riches for you, my friend. Enjoy these cameras, and of course, your M8

    2. Jono, great commentary. I too am curious about how effective the M will be for BW, but I suspect it will be a very solid option. The MM gives us a different type of flexibility in images, in the tonal rendition and greyscale depth (am I making these words up), than any other camera, including it's closely related M9. What is obviously lost is the ability to manipulate color channels. I suspect that with the higher ISO capacity and CMOS rendition, there should be quite a bit of flexibility in the files coming from the M....that being said, all of our digital M's (M8, M9, MM) are very capable BW cameras

    3. Cenek, once again you channel HCB...As well as Anesel...Great work!!!

    4. Carl, I see that you came ready to play. Nice Ultron work. A lens that I have never tried...

    5. Robert, the steaming coffee shot is AMAZING. Great stuff with the summaron!
