I am in love with retro deluxo colours being used by Custom bike maker - Gasolina..I guess I am now middle aged enough to leave my Ducatis behind and move onto a custom made mobile lounge chair..

M9 colour accuracy never ceases to amaze - especially now I take the trouble to do a white balance when required..

It is summer down here in OZ - floods and fire of course.

Love what you achieve from the 90mm Elmarit-M (especially the photo of your son). I have this lens on GXR M but never get good focus on my M9. It is now at Leica for calibration. Look forward to getting it back soon.

    A few more film photos

I think I found my favourite film... Fuji Neopan Acros! It's the smoothest film I've ever used... kinda looks like digital, no?

    From the Pentax 67!

Hi Edward, that is torturing. I'm on diet and your pics make it even harder for me to skip dinner! How do you like the 85? Would love to see uncropped full size image at f4 & f5.6.

I'm truly sorry about that, Teera!

You can savour this food in my friend's new restaurant that opens this coming Sunday at All Seasons.

As for the 85/4, as you would expect from such small maximum aperture lens, it is stellar at all apertures starting from wide open. I always use it at f/4. Today was the first time I used it stopped down on tripod.

    Hi Jorgen.

    Yes, it indeed is there.
I arrived yesterday minus my luggage. Guess lost my pants in Bangkok
Anyway the airlines gave me some money to get my pants on.

They offered me alcohol too. I do not drink that stuff. This will do, I told them.

Thanks guys for the' likes '. And thank you Jorgen.

One major problem I have with processing images to BW is skin tones. It always seems good when viewing other people's images, but when looking at my own... it doesn't feel right. Is there any tricks?

However, in my experience, a neutral WB prior to the conversion to b/w is important to get nice skin tones.

Wow! The skin tones are just perfect ^^ is that from the camera's rendering or from post-processing?

    Thanks for your comments.

The skin tones are straight out of camera - RAW. I felt they didn't need tweaking. Only light sharpening in Lightroom has been applied to the image.

AWB it was. I'm not one for messing about with technicalities. Normally I print in B & W so setting up for colour is unnecessary. For whatever reason, call it luck, this image worked in colour.
