    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

Hi gang, the newly retired dude163 here going through my old archives ( as if!) and working on shots that I couldnt get to work back then or didnt notice ,

First off ,here is a B+W conversion of a shot of the pretty redhead who was 8 months pregnant at the time:

a darkened backlit shot of a coworker as he was using his Nikon

and last but not least the wife of another coworker who is extremely photogenic , especially for 40 years old and 3 kids ( plus being married to my pal who is a goofball and a half)

    cheers

I will send it to you for free .....just PM me or flickr message your address, and I'll try to send it off....special request . Not sure how much shipping is to Canada, but I don't think it'll be too crazy. Thanks for the flickr message. That was a beautiful photograph, and to be even compared is an honor.

Gosh I gotta say the M is really not my cup of tea. They look like files from Sony or Panasonic.

I don't feel like paying 9000usd to become one of their beta testers. A Lightly used ME with 2 years warranty still intact at 4500usd is too tempting to pass-up

Not a bad decision for sure. The ME is a great camera with all essentials and no bells and whistles. But wow! the M is selling for 270,000 baht in Thailand?

Leica Thailand jacked up price by 1000usd from what they previously notified their dealers. Oh yes, thanks to IQ Lab that broke its promise to give me first priority for the M too. Too much hassle just for the not-so-ready for prime time camera.

That is definitely not an ethical behaviour. The M is supposed to be the same price as the M9, so 230,000 at most. When I buy mine, I will order it from Germany as usual.

Tiverton, Devon, England. This town, close to where I live, has an awful reputation, but for me looks delightful from this angle.

Leica M9 and Zeiss 25/2.8 Biogon. (Slight sky crop).

Let me know which store that you plan to order the M from? I've a plan to visit my friend in Dusseldorf sometime next year. Probably, I'll look for the M there.

Hi Jono, Did not mean to distress you over this. It is extremely difficult to capture something different of a site that has been photographed a lot (There is a fabulous series here: Fujian Tulou, Secrets of the Fujian Tulou, CNTV English, CCTV News). The poor lighting is a bit too much even for the AA 50, it seems like. Also, in my monitor (this one is too good for deep darks), I see horizontal banding. Hence that comment.

The poor lighting is a bit too much even for the AA 50, it seems like. Also, in my monitor (this one is too good for deep darks), I see horizontal banding. Hence that comment.
