Just going through some old images shot with the WATE and found this one from the GetDPI San Juan workshop. This was at 18mm and shot just after sunrise.

Hey! I know that place. I used to live not far from there... a very long time ago (1974).

    Very nicely captured.

    Hi there
Lots if great shots. Scott I love Gent. It's a bit of a mission driving there at the moment with all the tramlines being dug up. My Satnv takes me from one blocked road to the next.
We've been in Cornwall this week with wildly veering weather and I've been trying out a 24 elmar which was kindly lent to me:

Lovely shots Ray and Promote and Timothy (that's the kind of exposure I end up with too!).

Ray, I think I can honestly say I've never been to a country club.

    HI Steve
That's lovely - even more as you've managed to keep the PP just about perfect.
    Excellent.

    It's such a good focal length isn't it . . . . . here is another one with the M and the 24 Elmar.

My nephew asked me to take some pictures of him and his friends (about 6 couples) before their homecoming dance...

Little did he know how a simple request like that stressed this amateur, but I was happy with the results.

Right, Jono: 1/1500th at f/1 is hardly optimal, but you're standing in the dark trying to quickly tone down the exposure for this bright shot and the easiest thing to do without looking is to keep cranking up the shutter speed. It wasn't a moving subject, though, so this was kind of lazy. I was already at 2000 ISO, so I should have just closed the aperture down a couple of stops. Happens all the time when I'm night shooting though.

    Hi Timothy
It was real fellow feeling - I'd almost certainly been in the same thing.
Maybe they'll get Auto ISO to work in Manual Mode, then we'll all be fine!

Tough capture, but think this works pretty well. I sort of like the dangling gold coin leaves hanging in the photo. not everyting in nature is perfectly framable.

Enjoying the benefits of working in midtown again, been about 6 years.
Though not much light to play with after work these days..

    Both M240 & 50lux v2

Really toyed around with B&W vs Color and various crops on this one for a while..
