We did our annual "Sing Up the Sun" this morning, the day after the longest night of the year. A fried brought a flying paper lantern and I wrote the calligraphy on it to welcome the new year.

My love letter to Myanmar. All with 50 'lux and 28/2.8 Zeiss.
I spent one morning at a school situated on a bank of Irrawaddy River, Myanmar and took photo of kids grade 1-3 in earth-tone color classroom filled with golden warm sunlight. Love every second of it, lovely kids with eyes that will make you fall in love and immersed into that magic moment. Thinking of going back there and doing something for them.

Hi all, been a while, but yesterday we had our 3rd storm in a week, except it was an ice storm, so of course to escape the in laws* cough * I popped out and took some pics

here is a 9 shot stitch to show how much ice the trees got

Merry Christmas! I see it's rather quiet here, so people must be enjoying the holiday!

Xmas Eve I got to open my (new to me) toy - 35lux Asph. Been glued to my M240 since.

    Driving around

    Surprise!

Shivering waiting for the train home.. after it hit 70F this week, we got a bit of a dusting and it was below 20F in CT, so .. it felt like Christmas Eve for sure!

My two photogenic girls. Daughter Kymmie, and her little dog Kiwi. Kiwi's been a special member of her house, and a special guest of mine. I didn't realize the lamp light was going to create such difficult subject lighting, light and dark between daughter and dog. Dog of course, shows heavily under downdraft lamp shade. Well, you get the best you can get... M camera/50mm lux

Just received the Jinfinance OUFRO type extension for my M(240) and tried it out on my 75mm Summilux. It mounts fine and seems to work well on this lens, although DOF wide open is razor thin. Fun to be able to do macro work on a M camera.

Great stuff, especially the first one!
Let us know how it works!
I've hesitated to buy the Jinfinance version, but the original one is now absurdly priced due to so few being made..

The snow's deep and the deer are hungry. This little yearling hasn't discovered the heap of grain I put out this morning and is trying some rhododendron leaves. Taken through my dining room window!

    Where is your snow???

This is certainly not Cornwall. Having the good fortune of living in East Anglia for 13 years, this really typifies the countryside. It is good to see it has not changed that much. Walking among the fields, especially during blackberry season, was a real pleasure. The interesting thing was the odds surprises like concrete pill boxes or abandoned airfields from WWII.

    Hi Will
No snow (sorry) - not even that cold, but we've been lucky with the weather.

We were due to be in Cornwall, but we've had a plumbing problem which meant we had to stay put . . hopefully down there on the 6th for a few days.
