Steve: Well seen and captured on the first. The second is "AWESOME" (to quote from an earlier post). Incredible composition, texture and 'look'. Absolutely beautiful pp. One of your best, IMHO.

Joe: All three are extraordinary. The compositional 'setup' is excellent. My order: #2 (timing; composition; focus), #1 (layering of light and people; composition), #3 (artistic; loses me a bit because of the 'artificiality' of the light; but, only a little bi). B & W pp - perfect. Sounds like a fun workshop with a brilliant photog.

Former Fashion model ... amazing woman and a great sense of humor ... she is originally from Boston so it was a pleasure to talk to her as most people here on the islands don't get the east coast way ...... a lovely brief encounter with a lovely woman .....
the M8 18 combo as usual ... this lens has ended up being my favorite on the m8 .. and has kept me from selling this combo for the M9 ... sounds crazy I know .. just can't seem to part with it .....
Shiro: Thanks! The portrait and the story are great. Her character and life comes through. Nice composition and pp.

Lovely, Steve. Just love how you are using the Noct, which I think really shines with medium focal reaches, where one can really develop a look in terms of DOF at medium focal distances....great stuff!

Ashwin, that 75 mm looks great for portraits, thats on a M9 though correct? so no crop factor involved.

    Steve and Ash-
I asked my wife about getting the .95

"13? THOUSAND? When you get that per wedding or bar mitzvah, then sure.". So the bar's been set

Love the 75 Cron. Gotta say, I am loving my 75 Summarit foot 1/3 the price.

Dude, 90 on an M9 would be he ideal traditional portrait focal length.

Jason; the reason i asked is ai have an m8 , so for me a 75 would be a 100 FOV?

I looked at the 2 summarits actually, the 75 and 90 are almost the same price up here, I think there was 40 dollars difference.

Robert, the balloon shot is SPECTACULAR.

As for your question yes, shot with the M9 and 75 cron, uncropped. The cron is one of the best portrait lenses ever, along with the hard to find 85 sonnar....

Jason, sorry to contribute to Noctilust...lol

Steve, nice capture of the elderly gentleman...

    Best,

Using lines and crop to invoke some tension in these photos - comments welcome.
