Very cool, Wozza. The second shot looks great. Can't see the first one for some reason.

Thanks Lloyd, I just fixed the link. The way Lightroom wants to republish every time you make a tiny change, like adding a tag in your library, drives me nuts because it messes up the links to my Flickr.

Thanks Lloyd! I can't help but wish I had a different lens that night though, I really don't like the colours from the VC 50mm nokton. I guess I'll try that SLR Magic 50mm f/0.95 when it comes out later in the year and see how that is.

Looking forward to giving that one a try as well. I have the Nocti F1.0 now, but I'm interested to see the differences.

From what I've seen, the VC is slightly sharper than the Nocti f/1 but the Nocti has much better colour and bokeh. The shots that Steve Huff has been posting of the SLR Magic lens is pretty impressive, in all regards really. But it's still a prototype, so who knows what it'll be like once it's in production.

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

Reading about it got me a bit concerned. There seems to be a frenzy of

camera equipment hitting the market. New tech. pre-orders. people parting

with their hard earned cash ( or deciding to get it back once spent..). I

opened my cupboard. I had to. I too needed to be part of the crowd. But

a check first seemed sensible; for old time's sake.

The box creaked. The camera creaked even louder. Put on the lens. Needed

grease. Fired of a few shots.

Noisy, limping, but still working. Good enough for me. And for postcards.

Till the next super duper camera..I packed it up. Locked the trunk.

I went back to bed. Peaceful like.

Gray, thanks a lot. Shhh. come a little close please. I am almost embarassed,

to say it..the camera is like me, a geriatric candidate; it is the M8.

The lens is the cron 28mm asph.

    Stay well.

2 With M9 28-2.8 Elm. This lens was always a favourite and the coverage/sharpness always amazes. Waiting my turn at the (unisex) hairdresser note the dog in the lap of one of the customers. Then one from another grey day in Belgium.

Charles, first a thank you for your kind words.

I really love that you choose to keep the distant land within the frame. It lends a sense of depth and distance to these images.

Once more, I am amazed at these captures.

Thank you for sharing them with us.

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

A month ago a short interview and some photographs on our sat channels.

It was about Ayesha and her most recent ' walk ' in the mountains..clouds if

    one relates more to movies!

Some of the images were posted here in the small sensor forum, taken by her.

The tv has the advantage of panning/fade-ins and outs etc to a much higher

capability than I with my Boinx software.

I have not posted these images here previously. This was the opening shot

    shown on tv.

We are at 2300 meters in the next image. I shall stay here. Ayesha shall

continue beyond and over the mountains in the back. She thinks of something

to say to me. I remember, I told her to get going. She stayed here for

    sometime.

Then she looked around, faced me, smiled.. and I saw her head towards the

    mountains..

She was heading towards a glacial ice pack at around 3200 meters.

    Compressed ice, rock and granite.

This is a cheesy composite that too was used in the show; from her previous

    adventures.

    re: Fun w/Digital M Images

I don't own an M9, 8.2, or 8, but I do own an M6. I was wondering if it was ok to post scanned film images on this thread (isn't scanned film a digital image?) or is there another thread where I should post my photos?
