David: Very nice. I haven't been in NYC since the pools were in place. Looking forward to seeing them when I'm there next week.

Retow: Gorgeous set.

Patrick: Very nice set. As for your dilemma, Gary and David have given good advice.

Andrew: Great stuff, as always.

Woody: Very nice. Love the subtle warm tones.

I've been super busy for a few days, but I do like to comment on Peoples photo's so please bear with me.

Thank you for all the nice comments on my photo's.

Matt Sorry for your loss, its never easy losing a family pet. Nice catpture :)

Those NIK add ons seem to really pull down the noise.

Robert Nice shots from PEI, looks like you are having a nice time!

The beach shots are good too, looks like a mini baby boom at work

denntsytangco Stunning shot of Gaudi's Cathedral. Good job on minimizing the construction. Which lens did you use?

Godfrey Nice stuff, and so true.

rayyan, Nie detail on the shot of the chest. The sepia building shot is nicely PP'd - very vintage.

The seagull shot - super capture! Where you in a balloon?

Hillary Happy Belated Birthday, I hope that Patrick spoiled you on your special day!

Mohammad Nice beach shots!

downstairs Super lighting on the jug photo, just wondering how you trigger your lights?

Bruno As on the other forum, nice photo's and I am still liking number 3 of the people standing at the railing.

Brian, thats pretty good for hand held![/B]

David, interesting that there is still some swirl on the dandelion shot.

Charles, As on the other forum, super nice set!

Patrick, looks like a fun party!

Ashwin, Paris, the city of light, a magical place for photographers, and you captured it!

rayyan Love the shot of the old man in B&W!

Steve, Nice shots, like the 35 cron shot!

dennysytangco, Nice set from London!

David, Congratulations on the new lens! In your second set, #2 is very nice, I would even push the highlights further...

Ace Nice shot of the little girl!

Mohammad, Again with the super processing, your friends father looks like he enjoys life!

Patrick Looks like you had a super time in Seattle! Nice shot of Puget sound! Looks like you had a fun night out!

Gary, as posted on the other forum, I like the last one! (Eagle on buoy). And same again in the second set.

Michael I really like #1 of the spring hill sign. Nice control of the light in the fog!

rayyan Interesting take on the doorway, almost looks like a cross processed look.

David(dwf) Nice set, thanks for sharing!

proenca Interesting images, the single colour and low colour images a a nice change!

Charles Red heads... :)

Andrew, I really like this set you've posted. Do check the designation of 28mm Summilux on photo 5. You might start a Leica rumor; or is there such a lens?!

Woody, the scans and Milan look great!

Patrick, Many fish pics come from Pike Mkt. - yours in B&W with tight framing and high contrast really work!

Lloyd- Thanks again, enjoy your time there :) If you want to visit the memorial, it is necessary to get a pass in advance. You can do it easily on-line but then you get to go through airport-style security before they let you in to the park. I look forward to seeing what you see!

At the risk of beating a dead horse, here are revised takes on the pool. The site was challenging because the light was so intense at about 3PM...no surprise.

Here are some shots from a recent day trip to Joshua Tree. M9 + 50 summicron + 4 stop ND

I only wish we drove this out there

and of course some actual Joshua Trees

The images really don't convey the sheer size of these rock formations, but they are massive! Here's my buddy hiking to the top of one.

Cheers,
M

Andrew, cool shots from china :p Very China, very happy people :)

Woody, cool film shots :) Nice to see others using film here!

Matt, cool photos :) I love the tree one... so much detail in all of them though!

With the Yashica T4... the dude finally gave me proof of shipment. He was just really lazy and had poor communication. David, I completely agree with you, and I did only go through with the deal because he promised to update me and have it shipped on a certain day. He shipped it, but he never updated me... sucks, but at least it's out and I'm good for now :)

Anyway... two photos from today! Took my new lens, an Elmar-M 50/2.8, out for a spin.

Very green :p Very Cool! Outhouse?

Also... I bought a $20 guitar at a thrift store today. The body was broken, but the owner epoxy'd it back together. Sounds great, feels great. Googled it when I got home, worth $350 brand new, going for $400 on local classifieds... cool deal :)

Happy birthday to me... look what package was delivered just in time today! A few quick shots just to make sure it works... :)

Instead of constantly compare the 28mm Elmarit to the 25 Biogon, I think I'm just going to shoot with both for a while and decide later.
