Andrew, cool shots from china :p Very China, very happy people :)

Woody, cool film shots :) Nice to see others using film here!

Matt, cool photos :) I love the tree one... so much detail in all of them though!

With the Yashica T4... the dude finally gave me proof of shipment. He was just really lazy and had poor communication. David, I completely agree with you, and I did only go through with the deal because he promised to update me and have it shipped on a certain day. He shipped it, but he never updated me... sucks, but at least it's out and I'm good for now :)

Anyway... two photos from today! Took my new lens, an Elmar-M 50/2.8, out for a spin.

Nice shots and the Elmar 50 is one of the last great bargains among the Leica lenses.

Lloyd- Thanks again, enjoy your time there :) If you want to visit the memorial, it is necessary to get a pass in advance. You can do it easily on-line but then you get to go through airport-style security before they let you in to the park. I look forward to seeing what you see!

At the risk of beating a dead horse, here are revised takes on the pool. The site was challenging because the light was so intense at about 3PM...no surprise.

David
Thanks for the heads up, David. I'll definitely be going there.

I like these revised versions. Very nice.

Here are some shots from a recent day trip to Joshua Tree. M9 + 50 summicron + 4 stop ND

The images really don't convey the sheer size of these rock formations, but they are massive! Here's my buddy hiking to the top of one.

Cheers,
M
Excellent set, Matt. I especially like this last one. Including you buddy in the shot really does give a sense of scale. Did you do any climbing while you were there?

Looks like it's working, Patrick.

Happy birthday to me... look what package was delivered just in time today! A few quick shots just to make sure it works... :)

Instead of constantly compare the 28mm Elmarit to the 25 Biogon, I think I'm just going to shoot with both for a while and decide later.
Very nice, David. Congrats, and Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday! If you're considering selling the 25, I may be interested.

Thank you. Of course! That was most of the fun!

Hi all, Ive been quite prolific this week , a coworker is also a pilot and helps out the Yellow Wings Flight of Canada Vintage Wings of Canada / Les Ailes d its a charitable organisation that is a tribute to the Commonwealth Pilot Traing Program in WW2 , he does this in his spare time, and it just so happens that this weekend they are visiting my hometown , which was a training base in WW2 . so without further ado here is Chris the air traffic controller/vintage warplane pilot

oh the 4 aircraft are:
1: Fleet Finch
2: North American Harvard
3: Fairchild Cornell
and my fave
4: De Havilland Tiger Moth

I love this shot , another coworker was there and I showed them this and his wife called it " a Hero shot! looks like Chuck Yeager!"

My first grandchild, Leo, was born this Tuesday. Here are a couple of images I like, taken with the M9:

Daughter Zoe holds Baby Leo (M9 + Noctilux f/1) @ f/1

My wife with Baby Leo (M9 + 50 Summilux ASPH) @ f/1.4

Best,
Bob
