Yom Kippur and the new SX28/1.4

It's a special day here in Israel. The airport is closed, and the streets are clear of cars (even in Tel Aviv). It's when kids learn to ride their bicycles. Shortly after sundown, informal block parties form.

All shot with M[240] at ISO 1600, f/1.4. The files hold up well to strong color correction (800K to compensate for the sodium streetlamps). I like the way the SX renders even the far out of focus areas quite clearly.

Lately I've been interested in small figures in large urban spaces, so I was delighted to see this out my office window yesterday. - John
