    Thanks Lloyd!

The Monochrom has been a real pleasure to use. After all the initial examples and talk of flat files etc. I find that my photos are 95% to what I want straight out of the camera.

Leigh, thanks for the input. I do think the DNG looks a bit more like you are recommending. Need to work on my jpg output.

View on Bush near Stockton in San Francisco today, after an electrical short triggered an underground explosion at about 11:30am.

The energy released blew a manhole cover into a passing car and jolted the neighborhood.

Parts of Chinatown and North Beach lost power for almost two hours.

rayyen that Hologon shot is indeed amazing. Another good thing about the MM, no color-shift issues :-)

Shashin - I was thinking the same, though I don't know enough to know if it actually does them harm. And especially beautiful cherry trees on a campus (UofW?) like that.

    Hi Aswin,

These are truly beautiful! You have a wonderful eye for composition.
It is great you can use these old lenses with this camera.
    Take care,

The living part of the tree is between the bark and wood. It is just a thin layer. The pressure of the line can damage or server it. This is why girdling, stripping a thing strip of bark from around the trunk, will kill a tree. Even the instructions for a slack line tell you to use padding to protect a tree.
