HI There Lloyd . . . busy right now, but here is the slightly gunmetal beast. Initially there was black paint in the writing, but it looked a little odd - now it's just through to the brass - I rather like it!

The excellent strap was a present from my son Silas - who made it.

Gorgeous, Jono. And congrats! Your images sold me on the MM...as I am sure it sold mny other MM's. Leica should honor you as such with this really awesome engraving ...I continue to be in awe of the camera....

    HI Ashwin
Not sure about the honor - I asked, they did it for nothing (I did pay for the camera though!).
It is nice to have it back.

Wanted to see how an IR filter (B+W #092) would work on the Monochrom.

These were shot on a recent trip to Las Vegas with the 24 Lux. All at ISO 2000.

Just a quick caveat that a couple of the above images were from the 645D, but mainly MM...

Ashwin, although there are so many superb images in your last series of postings, #5 and #9 have a superb combination of tonality, composition, repetitive patterns and more, put to extremely good use and just the right touch of both familiarity and mystique. Worthy of framing and something I could enjoy viewing on my wall or in a gallery. Nicely done!

Great series Dave! It's not only your post processing that's so effective, but your eye for framing tight to give emphasis to the subject matter. Powerful images which I keep revisiting.
