I love being able to shoot at night, handheld. Though 5000 ISO is a bit much, generally, it seems.

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

    Thanks, Dave!

Managed to steal away for a quick night run around the block, to test out ISO 5000. It works, but can be tricky. I'm going to re-do a couple of shots (not posted) at a lower ISO... As I still had some shutter speed leeway. Nevertheless, it's quite sweet to be able to own the night.

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

MM/75mm Cron A little softer than I'd like, my focusing skills lacked yesterday. I don't know why, I was not impaired... Soft, but still very nice I think. My daughter is a very nice BW subject with blonde hair and a black shirt on. :-)

I didn't realize what a strain I was putting on my cameras yesterday with the lighting. 3200 iso Exposure:1/15 at f/2.4 That's hard to get good handheld like that.

Ok , you've got me. I am now playing with a brand new mm. I have to say I had difficulties to understand all the comments on this camera ; but a few shots with it and I am in love again...Kinda supercharged triX. So here are a few of my first shots :

Mist rising. Dull light down in a dark gorge on the River Wye. 5000 ISO to make it hand holdable and get a decent aperture.

I think a lot of people think of their shots in terms of "sets", so you start processing and you show typically in sets. So, as you are evaluating one image, you are evaluating the set. But if particularly something stands out as good, or not up to the standards of the set, then maybe express that in comment form. I can see that everyone doing 1 photo per post, could start seeming fragmented. Especially if you are posting a set of say 3, and 2 other people post between your 3 posts. Then your stuff is spread out.
