Wow, one can read a lot into this image. Looks like a game of cat & mouse espionage. The guy up front doesn't really appear to be reading his newspaper but sort is anticipating his nemesis's (that menacing guy behind him) next move. All else is blurred, putting the focus on these two guys. There's tension in that scene, and on a train no less and in a split second, something or someone is going to spring into action! Looks like a "still" taken from a 1960's movie. Great image, wonderful tonality.

All shot with the 28 Cron, just when I started feeling at home with the 28mm, it suddenly had a loose front section.

Hi Dave, some superb photos above. Have had my MM for about 3 weeks now and still playing around with PP. Really like the blacks and whites in your shots. Any chance you can share a bit on how you post process these shots? I also have the 28 Cron and look for that to be my main user on MM.

The weather finally warmed up! A couple of our daughter this past weekend.

Both were taken with the MM + 50 Rigid Summicron; processed in Aperture & Silver Efex Pro 2.

    Trying a 75 Summilux-M... What a beast of a lens!

Ozzie has been quite minimized in photos since our daughter Olivia came a long!

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

Ran some errands today and brought my M Monochrom with me. As always, minimal post.

This set were all taken with my new 1949 Leica 5cm f/2 Summitar and red filter. This is very clean example, just serviced by Sherry Krauter.

And one more with the red filter removed. Again, minimal post.

Went to Yverdon to do some shopping and guess who I bumped into, Batman ! Yeah his car broke down. You can see he was quite anxious with all these kids around him and the fact that he was hoping RAC would come quickly to fix his Batmobil. Meanwhile the Joker had managed to escape.., yet again.

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

So we had our annual fundraiser at my Rotary club Saturday night. It was originally a 1940s themed event, but somewhere along the way it was changed to Irish formal. Oh well, my wife still dressed in her 1940s finest and of course I screwed the 1937 Carl Zeiss Jena 5cm f/1.5 Sonnar onto my Leica M Monochrom (with help from an M adapter).

All images are UNPROCESSED except for raw conversion in LR5. Yellow filter and auto ISO was used, most shots at ISO 1600 or 3200, but a few at 10,000 and the lens usually wide open or at f/5.6.

My wife getting ready (ssshhhh, don't tell her)

The Taiwan Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation has left an idellible mark of compassion and charity to the hearts of the Filipinos affected by the typhoon. In this set of photos, they also donated and helped in restoring the Sto. Niño Parish Church ran by the Roman Catholic.
