Continuing on the theme of MM portraits. The AMAZING 90 mm f/2 Summicron version 2 ("the Giant"), but a gentle giant at that:

Nicely captured Ashwin. I'm still trying to figure if there are three or two persons hiding under the umbrella. Okay, two, but due to the backpack strap and the white thing, it looks somehow knotty.

Nothing dramatic from Sandy. We stayed inside high and dry and luckily had no issues. The day after I took a walk on the FDR Drive sans cars and focused on the Municipal Asphalt Plant. All with my MM and 35mm FLE.

Two frames with a modest stitch. the 35 wasn't quite wide enough. I use stitching like a zoom.

For me one camera one lens = MM + 35mm FLE

    That's all for now.

Re: Fun with the Leica M Monochrom

The bokeh looks a little too pronounced for my taste, but I'm liking the shots off the 90 cron. I have a pre-ASPH 90 cron myself, and frankly, even with a 1.4x magnifier, it'd probably be easier for me to nail Keira Knightley than critical focus with that lens wide open

Woody, great photos. Thanks for sharing them. I see you are using the yellow filter indoors. Is there a reason why? I had the first trip out last weekend with my MM while hillwalking and used the orange filter on a 35mm FLE. The autumn coloured grasses ended up with a very bleached look!

    regards
