Definitely; that original iSight was quite ahead of the curve.

I actually still have the first "web cam" - the Quickcam. It attached via the parallel port and was B&W only. It wasn't really intended as a web cam, but using Linux you were able to set it up as one; snapping a new picture and posting it online every X minutes. I was one of the first (in the world) to have this setup. :)
