just buy one of the apple-style folding plugs on ebay and you can use it with your m charger directly into the wall. They look like this...

alternatively you can buy a short 1-foot power cord (notebook style) like this...

I had already tried the Apple piece but it doesn't plug in all the way. Will try to find the short pigtail that does plug in properly. Was hoping to get beyond concept and to actual brand and part suggestions to shorten the search.
