All 3 images are taken with an M8 and 35mm pre-asp v.4 chron, which along with it's many other charming features is an excellent IR lens - no hot spot and dead sharp focus with the infinity focus point shifted to the f5.6 depth of field mark. B+W 092 IR filter.

Shot handheld at ISO 640. Processed in ACR using the sky as a white balance point (there were technical discussions at the workshop about what it is about ACR that causes these to come out brown) and then desaturated a bit. Numbers one and two are three panel stitches (in PS) and number three is a two panel stitch. Perspective trued up in PS for all three - this is what lends them their seriousness.

All hand held except I used a monopod for the balanced rock.
