Strange ? request re: digilux 1

WANTED: Hi strange request here, I bought my 75 year old father a Leica Digilux 1 2 years ago as a gag gift cos he always wanted a leica , Turns out its his favourite camera . So of course it died and nowhere seems to be able to repair it ,we've contacted leica NA and they referred us to a place that couldnt fix it .Does anyone know of any location that would repair a 12 year old digital camera? , if so it would be cool to get a repair done on it.


If its impossible to fix, does anyone have one for sale/trade? thanks

The Digilux 1 was based on the Panasonic LC5. I'd check with Panasonic to see if they could fix it, or recommend a repair shop.

I suspect that if you could find a repair shop that could fix it, it would likely cost similarly.
