Tri-elmar menu on 15mm Heliar?

In the M8 menu there is a setting for the Tri-elmar 16-18-21.
Is there a practical way to get access to that menu in order to choose e.g. the 16mm option when using the 15mm Heliar?

Hi Ron
If you code the 15mm heliar as a WATE (either with a pen or by getting Mr Milich's estimable adaptor), then it will bring up the menu just as for the WATE.

I hope that's what you meant

You also need to use an UV-IR filter on the lens. The option for the WATE selection only occurs when the on-UV-IR selection is made, not when it is just set to lens detection on.

Robert has it.

However, it can be VERY simple.
buy a B&W 39mm IR filter (B&W is a little stronger than the leica, and IMHO works better for this lens (not generally)).

stick it in the built in lens shade with a little Pritt or evostick (or something similar). Forget
It works really well, mines been in there for 2 years without trouble, and the results are fine.
