Is anyone shooting studio portraits with Leica R lenses and strobes?

Leica R lenses and strobes

I have the 90 f/2 on Nikon with the Leitax adapter.
The problem to use it on studio is the manual aperture, as you usually work around f/8-f/11, focusing is complicated, as you may have to open the aperture, focus, and then close to the required f-stop. That is why I have limited the use of the R lens to f/2-f/4 in the field, and prefer the ZF lenses for the studio with strobes. I mainly do portaits.
