7 inch reflector for elinchrom

No, that is not true. There is a 7" (18cm) reflector for the Quadra system. This will also take ordinary Elinchrom grids. No need to convert to the regular Elinchrom system before (you do need to get the 18cm reflectors though).
If the Balcar grids are similar to the Elinchroms they will fit in this one.
