Quadra Question

Here is the scenario ... 5D MKII with the EL-Skyport Transmitter mounted in the hot shoe . When I take a shot the head flashes the pack recycles ready for the next shot . Here is my problem ,when I take the shot more often than not the the Quadra head does not fire but the pack makes the "beeb" sound as it usually does signaling the recycling of the pack readying for the next shot .. sometimes the head fires sometimes not .. but always the "beep" signal .
Any ideas or comments would be great as this really breaks the flow while photographing.

Probably a bad connection ... were you using your homemade cords?

Nah no home made cords ; ) but since posting the question here it has not happened again... the magic of Get DPI ....
